In a report that unsurprisingly received little publicity, pharmaceutical giant Merck recalled some 743,000 vaccines earlier this month due to some being contaminated with glass particles.
“On December 16, 2013 CDC was informed by Merck that the company planned to implement a voluntary recall of one lot (lot J007354) of Gardasil® [Human Papillomavirus Quadrivalent (types 6, 11, 16, and 18) Vaccine, Recombinant], due to the potential for a small number of vials to contain glass particles as a result of breakage during the manufacturing process,” a news release on the Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s website states. 743,360 vials were recalled, and Merck estimates – like some grotesque perversion of Willy Wonka’s Golden Ticket – that only 10 of those vials are contaminated.
Affected vials were distributed between August 20 and October 9, and given the expansive time frame and how long it’s been, the Drug Recall Attorneys Blog suspects “it is likely that some patients have already received injections potentially contaminated with broken glass shards.”
Gardasil claims to somehow “help protect” against human papillomavirus, a virus which “nearly all” sexually active man or woman contracts at least once in their lives, and which the CDC admits “the body naturally fights off” “most of the time.”
“In fact, a recent study published in the journal Vaccine estimates that 90% of HPV infections are cleared from the body within 2 years,” writes Dr. Tyson Perez for GreenMed Info.
Last month, daytime TV host Katie Couric was lambasted by the mainstream media after inviting the mothers of young women who died after receiving Gardasil jabs.
“We guess ABC will do anything to bring Katie out of its ratings hole, becausethe HPV vaccine has been proven to be absolutely safe for girls,” The Atlantic Wire wrote. According to them, stories about people who died after receiving the vaccine mean it’s “absolutely safe.”
Couric also interviewed one of the
researchers whose work helped develop the vaccine, Dr. Diane Harper. The
University of Louisville professor hinted she’d reversed her position
on the efficacy of the vaccine.
“..Gardasil doesn’t last long enough to prevent cervical cancer
and HPV infections are something that women continue to get throughout
their lifetime,” Harper said to Merck’s chagrin, adding that 10 to 15
percent of children up to age 11 already showed signs of HPV infection,
indicating an “underlying infection rate already that’s there.”
Back in October 2012, a report in the British Medical Journal highlighted a case in which a 16-year-old girl experienced premature ovarian failure after receivingHPV vaccinations , and numerous instances of permanent disabilities and deaths have been reported as a result of HPV vaccines.
Despite the CDC admitting to “22,000 adverse event reports occurring in girls and women who received HPV vaccines” (more than 1,671 of which were categorized as “serious,”), legislation is being introduced in 42 states to either make the vaccine a requirement or fund HPV awareness.
“About 2 of those states enacted such legislation. New Hampshire provides the vaccination free of charge, and Virginia requires the HPV vaccine for all female students entering the sixth grade,” the Drug Recall Attorneys Blog reports.
Despite the seriousness of the charge, Merck is optimistic people who receive glass particle injections will only experience “mild reactions.” However, according to the Attorneys Blog, the law firm of Pintas & Mullins “are currently reviewing cases of serious injury caused by broken glass in vaccine vials.”

ratings, Uygur walked away from the network to create his own online
broadcast.
Uygur’s reference to the USS Ronald Reagan concerns recent revelations that 71 U.S. sailors who helped during the initial Fukushima relief efforts returned with thyroid cancer , Leukemia, and brain tumors as a result of being exposed to radiation at 300 times the safe level.
The sailors are suing the Tokyo Electric Power Co.
(TEPCO), which repeatedly lied in an effort to downplay the severity of
the situation.
Now that radioactive debris is hitting the West Coast of North America, numerous different animals and sea life are suffering from mysterious diseases, including 20 bald eagles that have died in Utah over the last few weeks alone.
Top scientists have warned that
if another major earthquake hits Fukushima, which is almost inevitable,
it would mean “bye bye Japan” and the complete evacuation of the west
coast of North America.

Twin blasts targeting a train station and a trolley bus in the city of Volgograd which killed at least 31 people follow a threat by Saudi Arabia to attack Russia using Chechen terrorists if Moscow did not withdraw its support for President Assad in Syria.

The first attack took place at Volgograd-1 station on
Sunday morning, killing 17 people. CCTV footage shows an orange blast
behind the main doors of the station, smashing windows and sending
debris out into the street. The prime suspect is a female suicide
bomber.
The second attack occurred near a busy market in
Volgograd’s Dzerzhinsky district. A bus packed with people on their
morning commute was ripped apart by a suicide bomber, killing 14.
Although no group has claimed responsibility for the
blasts, suspicion immediately fell on Islamists from the North Caucasus
region who routinely attack soft targets in Russia.
While the media has concentrated on the threat such groups pose to February’s Winter Olympics in
Sochi, no scrutiny has been given to a warning issued by Saudi Prince
Bandar bin Sultan back in August when he told Vladimir Putin that Saudi
Arabia would activate
the Chechen terrorist groups it controls to target Russia if Moscow
refused to abandon its support for Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad.
As we reported at the time, the threat was made during a closed-door meeting between Prince Bandar and Putin at the beginning of August.
According to a transcript of the comments made during the meeting by Middle Eastern news agency Al Monitor, Bandar made a series of promises and threats to Putin in return for Moscow withdrawing its support for Assad in Syria.
“I can give you a guarantee to protect the Winter
Olympics next year,” Bandar allegedly stated, adding, “The Chechen
groups that threaten the security of the games are controlled by us.”
Bandar made it clear that his position was supported by the US government.
This “guarantee” to stop the Chechens from attacking the
Sochi Olympics was also obviously a veiled threat that if Russia did
not abandon Assad, terrorist attacks would be given the green light.
Given that Russia did not abandon Assad and indeed
virtually single-handedly prevented a US military strike on Syria, much
to the chagrin of Saudi Arabia which is the primary supplier of
anti-Assad rebel jihadists, are we to believe that the Volgograd
bombings are evidence of Bandar following through on his threat?

The scientific ship currently trapped in Antarctic ice is carrying a team of climate change scientists who keep harping the dangers of “global warming” even after multiple rescue ships failed in their attempts to save them.
“Bad news: [Rescue ship] Aurora couldn’t get through,” Turney tweeted earlier today. “Tried twice [but] low visibility and heavy ice. [She's] returning to open water.”
“Try again tomorrow?”
Turney and his team launched this voyage to study “ocean warming” while retracing the route of the original Australasian Antarctic Expedition, which was launched in 1911 by Australian geologist Douglas Mawson.
The official web site for the expedition suggests that the ice in East Antarctica, where the Akademik Shokalskiy is stranded, is threatened by this “warming.”
“There is an increasing body of evidence, including by the AAE members, that have identified parts of the East Antarctic which are highly susceptible to melting and collapse from ocean warming,” the site continues.
But as blogger Anthony Watts points out, Mawson’s team landed in Antarctica under much warmer conditions in 1912:
Additionally, the National Snow & IceData Center reports that the current extent of the Antarctic sea ice is two standard deviations above normal:
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration even announced back in September that Antarctic ice reached its largest extent since measurements began in 1979.

Due to radiation fears, Fukushima Prefecture fishermen have had to dump most of their catch. Two years into the nuclear disaster, South Korea still bans Japanese fish and seafood imports from eight Japanese prefectures. The ban covers an area of Japan that exported 5,000 metric tons of fishery products, or about 13 percent of the 40,000 total tons imported last year to South Korea.
In eastern Japanese ports outside of the prefecture, hundreds of pounds of fresh fish are sent to Onjuku, a small town a few hours away from Tokyo.
Once they arrive, samples of the fish are checked for radiation in a move to restore the world’s confidence in Japan’s food supply in the wake of Fukushima.
Japan’s Marine Ecology Research Institute, or MERI, operates out of Onjuku and is charged with the testing. MERI was established in the mid 1970s to certify that fish supplies remain safe despite wastewater discharge from the nuclear plants. It is now working overtime to assure the world that Japan’s fish are safe to eat.
Even with these assurances, many buyers are not sure just how much to trust the quasi-government laboratories. The U.S. has recently banned agricultural and fishery imports from 14 prefectures in Japan, up from the eight that South Korea banned.

The serenity of President Barack Obama’s Hawaiian vacation was rattled a little on Saturday when demonstrators aired grievances against unmanned aircraft and other issues in a small protest zone near the first family’s upscale rented house.
Returning from an early morning gym visit at nearby Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Obama’s motorcade passed a few dozen protesters holding signs with slogans including “Drones: Unethical and Illegal,” “U.S. Bases Out” and “Close Guantanamo Now.” Others expressed their opposition to genetically modified foods.

William Robert “Tosh” Plumlee started hiscareer as a CIA contract pilot in the late 1950s, delivering guns and ammunition on behalf of the agency to Fidel Castro.
Plumlee confirmed that such arm deals are still common today, with the State Dept. shipping arms to al-Qaeda via the CIA.
During an interview with Alex Jones, Plumlee pointed out that Pat Smith, the mother of an information management officer also killed during the Benghazi attack, received little information from the Obama administration about her son’s murder.
“I began to wonder ‘why won’t they tell her anything?’” He asked. “Then a contact of mine in the Middle East, a high-ranking NATO official, mentioned to me that he had reports that the ambassador [J. Christopher Stevens] had been complaining about the dispatches and cables that he had got from the State Department about the weapons being received and [Islamic] radicals armed, including Stinger missiles.”
According to Plumlee, Steven was ordered to stand down after he asked the State Dept. what he should do about the American arm shipments to al-Qaeda.
“The ambassador and his people had written a series of field reports and cable dispatches advising our State Department that the rebel factions had been armed with U.S. weapons,” he said. “Now my contention is this: if that is the case, why is that classified as a national security matter?”
Plumlee mentioned that Steven’s field notes have not been released by the State Dept.
These revelations suggest that after Stevens told the State Dept. that he did not want al-Qaeda receiving heat seeking missiles, he was killed in the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi which was designed to take out witnesses to the arms transfer and to suppress Stevens’s reports.
The Obama administration then blamed the attack entirely on Islamic protestors enraged by the film Innocence of Muslims while refusing to answer why U.S. special forces were ordered not to aid Stevens and others during the assault.
The missiles in question, as well as the other weapons given to al-Qaeda, were transported to Libya by C-130s under the Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) program, which operates within the State Dept.
As explained by New York Times best-selling author and former journalist Jim Marrs, the DCS program oversees the shipment of U.S. weapons and training to countries around the world.
Through its own internal investigations, the State Dept. admitted that firearms supplied by the DCS have ended up in the hands of foreign enemies.
Tying it all together, Plumlee stated that the weapons given to al-Qaeda were “U.S. made weapons that came from the DCS program, illegally transported by C-130s” into countries such as Turkey and Jordan and were “dispatched from CIA safe houses to the Syrian rebels.”
As we have documented in the past, the Syrian rebels are predominantly al-Qaeda fighters who want to overthrowPresident Bashar al-Assad in order to install an Islamic state in Syria.
If al-Qaeda controls Syria, other nations could easily take advantage of the ensuring chaos and Syria’s reduced sovereignty by extracting trillions of dollars in oil revenue from the country.
The Syrian rebels led by the Jabhat al-Nusra Front, the direct offshoot of al-Qaeda in Iraq, were described as the “most effective fighting force in Syria” after filling the void left by the secular Free Syrian Army.
Suffering from severe shortages in weapons and supplies, the Free Syrian Army began losing soldiers to the better armed and equipped al-Nusra Front.
Now it is known why the al-Nusra Front, and al-Qaeda worldwide, never seem to lack arms: they are receiving weapon shipments directly from the State Dept.

Obese children have been taken away by social workers after being overfed by their families, it has been revealed.
The super-size youngsters were placed in care across the UK amid fears their weight was wrecking their health.
One child had a Body Mass Index (BMI) measurement of 35 - the equivalent of a six-foot man weighing 19st.
It comes as an increasing number of parents give in to their children's cravings for unhealthy food - a phenomenon known as 'killing with kindness'
In the past year alone, five British children have been taken from their families because of overfeeding, according to a survey by the Sunday Express.
These include two in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, one in Oxfordshire, one in Salford, and one in Hounslow, London.
And the year before, five other obese youngsters were placed in care in Sheffield, Portsmouth, Lincolnshire, Slough and Harrow, London.
Professionals say families' gross over-eating can be one of the factors that leads to their children being taken into care.
A social worker told the Sunday Express: 'Only in extreme cases would we take a child into care just because of their weight as we would seek to work with the family to improve their eating habits.'

At least 15 people were killed in a blast at a railway station in the
city of Volgograd, central Russia, according to the regional government.
A female suicide bomber is suspected to have carried out the attack,
says the National Anti-terrorism Committee.

The incident is now being treated as an act of terrorism, Investigative Committee spokesman Vladimir Markin said.
The anti-terrorism committee has released a statement, saying that “there was a massive explosion, resulting in a number of fatalities. The explosion is thought to have been carried out by a female suicide bomber.”
“At 12.45 we got informed that a boom or a blast was heard in the building of the railway station, Volgograd-1. Smoke was reported,” Svetlana Smolyaninova, police spokesperson, said according to RIA Novosti.
Interfax’s source said that “the blast happened near themetal detectors located at the entrance to the station.”
One witness told the agency that he saw “two bodies lying in front of the entrance, pieces of shattered glass are everywhere, there’s a ton of rubble there.” He added that “apparently, the explosion led to a fire, which the firefighters quickly put out.”
Another witness said that the windows on both levels of the station have been shattered and that “the police have cordoned off the area, nobody’s allowed on the premises. There’s a very heavy police presence, emergency mnistry officials, bomb squads… it’s understandable that people are afraid, but there aren’t any screams or panicking.”
There are multiple ambulances rushing to the scene, witnesses at the scene say. The wounded are being loaded onto stretchers as the evacuation of the building continues.
At present, the building has been sealed. The cause of the explosion has not yet been reported.
